See that's the problem...I didn't start off jerking his chain. I dont know as much about guns as he does, so he treated me like a piece of shit. Frankly I don't take kindly to people treating others bad because they have less knowledge than you do. He might be a saint for all I know...but I have no interest in finding out. I'm glad you have a good relationship with him though.

If they don't know you a lot of old guys will "check your attitude" before wasting a lot of time trying to impart any knowledge. If you've been around Mil or any guy-oriented group surely you are familiar with a "gut check"? I'm an old guy as well but even us old guys learn a lot from guys like Jim and HBAR. Look at it like this; a little shit talking is just the price of admission.

A young bull and an old bull were standing on the hill watching the cows grazing when a stock truck backs in. The entire trailer is shaking and loud crashes and snorting can be plainly heard. The ramp drops and a huge bull leaps out bellowing and pawing enormous chunks of turf from the ground. Immediately the old bull begins to bellow and paw the ground violently. Dude lighten up he was just wanting to be "competitive" But yes we should all get a trophy, certificate or pat on the back. I know i'd be upset if everyone was not a winner.
