I think the quote that comes to mind is "Piss on golf."
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
I play also. I've played a number of rounds out at Spring Valley in Elizabeth.
I try and play as much as I can but I still suck.
Here is a thread from last year, Patrick and I went and swung the clubs

I golf a fair amount, but very, very poorly. If it wasn't for my wife (who I got interested in golf 20 years ago), I would have given it up a few years out of utter frustration. I fight a terrible case of the "full swing yips", and its raging pretty badly right now. My chipping and putting are keeping me playing - both of which are pretty consistently good. Golf is just such a mental game - even more than shooting I think. Yes, I shoot better than I golf, but thats not saying much.

My home life isn't bad enough to play golf.

I like golf. I enjoy playing golf, but it takes too much time to practice.
I think I spent more $$ on practice than actual game at a course.
I did invest my money on turf and golf net about 4 years ago.
