I couldn't find any welded D-rings like I wanted, so those round welded rings were all I had. Those rings are way too large because I was going to make a belt like I made for the wife's waist strap on her BOB. After thinking about how much cord that would take, I thought I'd just try the simple bracelet method and see how well it worked. I'm pretty happy with the result.
If you give me the piece you want to test, I can break it for you on a mechanical load frame and give you the exact breaking load and the amount of overall stretch. Of course you wont have your bracelet anymore but you'll know to the 0.01 lb and 0.001 in what it would have held had you needed it

That's a cool offer Bogie. As long as it holds the bag, that's all I really need. Staglefty makes and sells paracord bracelets though, and he may be interested to know something like that.

Looks like the paracord is holding up fine, but you must have really been taking a beating to try and pull guard on the bag.

I would be happy to donate a bracelet to this test if you can give me the results and or video it or take photos.

    Let me know.
