Default Anyone heard from Mick? Re: 8/14 match results

I haven't bothered to bother him, just curious if anyone knows him socially or has talked to him since Saturday. I'm anxious to see the results from the match and noticed they haven't been posted yet. I hope he's ok and it's just a weird work or admin type delay.

Results up. Another huge group of shooters. Good job on a strong finish, madmike. You didn't quite choke yourself out on Stage 4, but it was sure fun to watch you try

Getting kind of tired of sucking. I suppose practicing on occasion could change that...

    So... I have a thought:

I appreciate very much the work that the board, RSOs and MDs put in to these matches. I'm guessing they get to shoot the match for free in exchange for their time, and if so they deserve it.

But if not, It would be awesome to let people optionally donate $5 or something similar to cover the range time for the staff.

If so, or in addition to the above, I would be more than happy to donate a 50 box of ammo as a token of my appreciation as well. If even a small percentage of people did that on occasional weekends when they had a spare box, we could likely cover all costs for these volunteers to shoot the match.

I understand that some of them may be particular about their ammo, or only wanting to shoot custom developed hand-load recipes, but I bet not all of them require that.

Let me know your thoughts. I would be happy to organize anything related to this. I think it would be a great way to show appreciation and thanks for all they do to put on these wonderful weekends.

Their time gets credited towards their work bond at the range - which they probably still participate in anyway.

As a SO, all I get is the same discount everyone else gets for coming in early for setup - I am not a member of CCGC, so my SO time is for naught.

I am just grateful that we do maintain a high level of shooters that come early to setup, and stay late to tear down. That is the biggest help, and the lack thereof was the downfall of the Pueblo IDPA.

I'm blaming it on the hour plus delay we had waiting for the squad in front of us to finish! That's my excuse.
