It frustrates me to no end how most video games (Call of Duty is notoriously bad about this) don't have the word "magazine" in the game. EVERYTHING is a clip. And so nearly everyone playing those games assumes that Call of Duty is an authority on guns, and they call everything a clip too. And so it perpetuates.

Well, the assault rifle in that context is not terribly inaccurate is it? You are picking a rifle to assault with... But either way, video games generally don't teach correct nomenclature. Last time I played COD, I had some 9 year old yelling at me about how he emptied his whole clip into me and I didn't die.Don't forget that they mislabel weapons classes in the game too- Assault Rifles...
