I started out this way with the old Tandy kits(Radio Shack)
I would love to get a hold of a couple more to get for my kids but I dont think Radio Shack has anymore radios-funny as to how that's how they got their name.

I feel it's a great way for the kids to learn on all levels-most of all to see something they built actualy work.
