Default Heads up!!! Stolen WWII Jeep alert!!!

I can't believe I didn't think of posting this earlier.....

There's a hard-working, church-going young man here in Parker that achieved his dream a few years ago of getting himself a WWII vintage military Jeep. He's been working on it ever since, lovingly restoring it to its former glory, while driving it to his job working nights at the Parker WalMart as a stocker.

A week or two ago, some lowlife scum decided they needed to steal his beloved Jeep, and took it right out of the WalMart parking lot while he was working. Security cameras showed 3-4 people pushing it off into a dark area, where it assumedly was loaded on a trailer or whatever. It's gone.

The feller's name is Malachi Springer, I'd exchanged emails with him a couple of times back when he was still looking for one, very nice guy. I "believe" his Jeep was a Ford GPW model, not a Willys MB. Not a total pristine restoration, but one that looks like it's "been there and done that". He liked to take it to parades and other events, and he'd dress the part too as a young WWII GI with all the goodies.

So, if anybody here learns of someone suddenly "acquiring" a WWII Jeep, or suddenly has WWII Jeep parts for sale, especially any parts with a small Ford script capital "F" on them, please contact the Parker Police Dept. and/or the Douglas Co. Sheriff's office.

Let's help this guy get his treasured wheels back, if you hear anything. OK?

    Thanks guys!

    Damn, that's low.

I'm on a couple of Jeep forums and will check the "for sale" stuff, but I doubt these scumbags would go there.

Parker newspaper said a friend of his had seen someone driving it on I-25. So they're obviously not too bright.

wow! of all the low profile things to steal and then drive around . the community for that kind of jeep is small . it shouldn't take long to find them if they have not stripped it yet . some numbers and pics would help is someone should spot it . i hope he gets it back soon . i know id be really upset.hell its upsetting to think that someone would steal something like that and a group of them at that !

Thats cool as hell! Glad he got that back. I would love to do that to an old military jeep. They just didn't make them to be driven by old fat guys!

Glad it had a happy ending. Hope the ass-hats that took it have karma bite them in the ass soon.

Well mostly happy ... the thieves didn't have to suffer through any prison sex.

But glad he got the Jeep back (God I hate thieves).
