Were you an engineer in the Army? The solution to every problem of removing or opening something always involved the use of Det cord. Not subtle, but always effective.

I'd place one of our fire rescue glass punches in my shoe, if that doesn't do it, it can't be done with only your feet.

This was my first thought... Use a glass punch and it should do it- if it's breakable.

How do you crimp a blasting cap onto it let alone an initiator. Safe separation time? 1' is more reasonable at 40sec per ft (+/- 10%).

Personally, I would use a water impulse charge so the heat from the det cord doesn't burn the money up. You can always dry money out but can't fix it once it's charred.
