If you have the barrel extension or whatever you want to call it, why not move the sights out instead of the standard sight distance of a 5" 1911???
Seems this guy is all gimmik and some schmuck is going to waste his money on this knucklehead.![]()

I hadn't heard of him until I saw an ad in the Gazette Telegraph yesterday from him criticizing Diug Lamborn for not supporting his efforts to get a DOD contract.
Dude, where's my can?
He was at the Ben Lomond open house a couple years ago. He did shoot out to 600 yds with his custom 1911 and hit the target. There was about a 30 mph cross wind so it wasn't bullseye. He also was letting whoever wanted shoot a few rounds. That was the first time I had shot a 1911 and it was amazing - virtually no recoil and very accurate. I'm not a great shot with a pistol (getting better though) and I was getting good shots at 100 yd target. I have never fired any other custom 1911s so I can't compare it with those. The only ones I have shot are a para ordnance 14-45 and my Springfield Loaded. He will also do upgrades on stock 1911s. I've tried to find info about him on 1911 forums and googling but haven't really come up with much. I was wondering about the concept of the wider barrel link and if it really worked.
every time I see this thread title I can't help but read LIBTARD 1911's ... makes no sense
I plugged a .45 into my calc, it shows a drop of 79.2 feet at 600yds assuming a 50yd zero.
It's still moving 630fps at that range with 200+ lb/ft of energy.
