I have a Para 16-40, it was made in 1992. The gun works perfectly, digests anything I feed it and spits em out.

    Default 1911's

I love Taurus 1911's out of all that I have owned and shot they rank # 2. I have owned Colt's Springfield's Para's S&W's Llama's RIA's and Taurus, and have fired just about every major brand. I am sure I am forgetting some that I have owned these are just what comes to mind. My personal favorite was my S&W 1911 that I sold awhile back, next to that I like RIA's then the PT1911. Just my personal preference a lot of people that I have talked to on here and in person do not like the Taurus, but you know what they say about opinions. I even kind of miss my P14 LDA that I had and got ripped off for when I sold it. I cannot explain it there is just something about Taurus and RIA 1911's that I really like. If I do not like this Para I could probably talk my wife into trading for her PT1911, so I really do not think I will do bad. Also this Para is in great shape, does not even look like it has had more than 100 rounds through it. Thanks for the advice guys.

I think you should find a Llama Minimax, and trade it for that. I hear High Points are good also.

I know you're joking here. The Llama Minimax is another pistol that either jams every mag or self destructs within a few hundred rounds . . . but the smaller Llama Micromax in either .380 or .32 is often an excellent inexpensive pistol. Sometimes they need polishing to feed HP reliably, and it is hard to find replacement parts, but I've known several guys who had Micromax pistols which ran perfectly.

I have an IX-C and it is not that bad for a brick with a barrel. I have never had a FTF or FTE.
