    Default Teaching Economics Rant

I don't know if I'll make it to 45 without having a stroke. Just got off the phone with another fuck I have to teach economics to. Calls me looking for some glass and spends about 5 minutes of my time tell what is projects about. Too vague to give exact pricing so I give my SQFT price for the glass. Him: "to be honest with you, you are a bit high." Okay, so go with the lower price and stop wasting my time (i'm thinking this.) I tell him my price is what it is and I don't care if it's not the lowest. (i tell him this) He then goes on and tells me the other prices and wants me to tell if I know someone that's cheaper then these prices? I say: Like a whole seller? Yes he says. I tell him: (economy 101) that we by sheets of glass year after year from those sells and that is why we get that price. Still keeps talking to me and I tell him I can't help. WTF is wrong with people. I don't go and waste peoples time when their prices are higher then the other guy's. And I don't expect some one to sell to me without making a profit. If this guy wants glass at whole sale he can go out and start his own damn shop.

I give the rant a 7.. needs more expletives.
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

Meh.. get those every other phone call or so. Best one is typically the ones w/ Indian accent - my kung fu accent comes out strong on those. Be a man, and lets haggle!

I found the rant slightly weak, but definitely understand your position. same stuff happens on here, craigslist etc. I have laughed out loud in the phone and a couple times in person when people put out their offers.

When I sold my old ATV, I had a guy tell me that he could get the same one (camo) from a guy in Michigan for $500 cheaper and it had about the same miles. My price on craigslist was FIRM and stated as such and I put on there not to waste my time.
He went so far as to print out the guys ad and the NADA and KBB values and try to talk me down. I told him absolutely not, my price is firm and he was wasting my time. He then tried to tell me he would still like to buy it for my asking price which I then told him it was no longer for sale to him and he can spend his $500 driving for 2 days to buy the ATV in michigan!
sold it the next day, no questions asked about the price
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Haha awesome. I used to sell cars with a guy that sold motorcycles on the side and he would do stuff exactly like that. If they said his price was too high, he'd just turn around and go back inside his house without saying anything.

I was selling a car on craigslist and I listed it high. But since it sold for almost the price I wanted (1500 over book) I am justified in that. I know the actual market value for the vehicle but every other day I would get this: "Your asking retail. Kelly blue book says about $6900 so I won't pay more than 7. And I can see it tomorrow after 3 pm." That is an actual email I got.

If I had waited another month I could have gotten 9K for it. Wasn't hurting me sitting doing nothing.

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.
