A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
I did the best of both worlds. I got my mail-in ballot last week, thought about each and every vote (including researching the judges) before sealing it this weekend and personally dropped it in the C&R's box just before lunch.
I've had bad experiences before with USPS: my 1996 ballot was received with plenty of time to spare, and sent in (using the local post office's drop slot) almost as soon as I got it. It took the local post office (located 1.5 miles from my townhouse at the time) 3 weeks to then deliver that ballot back to me (despite the ballot saying deliver HERE not THERE). I drove back over to the post office, emphasized the delivery address and mailed it again -- only to receive it back again, this time from the COLORADO post office only 1 day before the election. Good thing that election wasn't a squeaker like this one.
