Default How did you decide on your first surpressor?

    So,

I don't know what to do!

Selling a gun so ill have some $. I want a suppressor.

    But what should I surpress?

Toss up between between my M&P Vtac or my Wilson.
Or I could do my AR.

    How did you guys decide?

My first thought would be the M&P. thinking high capacity, SHTF scenario, she will probably be at my side. Plus I'm sitting on a ass load of brass I load up subsonic.

Wilson would just look freaking! But also a pretty common carry gun.

I don't kmow! How did you guys decide???

    Thanks!

I never even considered suppressing a pistol. Hand guns are for emergencies when all else has failed.

I'm waiting for a .30 cal can to clear the paperwork. With it, I can shut up my .260 precision rifle, my AR (had the barrel threaded properly to use a .30 cal can) and my .22LR bolt gun (not yet threaded, but on the list). I suppose I could thread my 10/22 if I felt like it. Very versatile.

First thing I ever suppressed was a Glock 22 - its my bedside gun.

Best thing I ever suppressed was Ruger MIII w/ a TacSol Paclite and filled with Valquartsen guts. Its stupid scary accurate and funny (everyone who shoots it giggles like a little school girl) quiet.

If it was me, and I didn't want to buy a new gun just to suppress it, I'd do the M&P. Mainly because I think 1911s are poop.

Supressing AR's gets into different territory and I would suggest going out and hearing/shooting some suppressed ones before deciding. Lots of options and lots of opinions especially when it comes to different lengths and gas systems.
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

My .22 can sees the most use, and it's cheap compared to others, and it cleans fairly easy.

I couldn't agree more. I take it out when I'm walking the dogs and just go through a mag or two. It's so dang quiet, I can't help but shoot it. It's just flat out fun.

Started with a 22 Tac 65 for a goof, just to see what the ATF check would pop up with. Then a Gemtec, then a TBA T1 4" 22lr & WMR rated
Waiting on approval on the AAC M-4, next can i might just crank out on the lathe, After Form 1 approval of course.
