No, methane from the pig poop on my urban farm. Of course, gasoline! It got us through the outage in style, as I didn't see any of my neighbor's enjoying themselves! What should I have done, just sit there with a candle listening to my hand crank radio?!

my dad has his house hooked up to batteries and a generator to recharge the batteries, the generator is hooked up to a propane tank that is 500+ gallons. He looks forward to the power going out.

Sorry about that. Gas fumes make me edgy. It is fun to watch the extreme side though. I'm more of a survive a natural disaster guy. Maybe a week at the most. After that I'd have to "rough it".

Honestly, Doomsday preppers (the families portrayed) are a little extreme... but being preppers, we can all probably take something out of each episode. I know I got a couple ideas, and I am thankful. There are worse programs out there to watch and rot your brain with.
