Not everyone who voted for Obama did so hecause they like hand outs, or dislike firearms. I'm not in the position to explain exactly why someone would vote for him, because I didn't. Some people need to remember that the world is much larger than this website, and the views held here. Not everyone feels that protecting the small chance that guns will be messed with, is the MOST important issue. Similar to how some people here don't believe that abortion was the number one issue for this last election.

Does the reason why one might have voted for Obama really matter? Was there a good reason to vote for him?

I'm not a Democrat, nor am I a Republican anymore. I choose the person I believe is the best candidate for America. It is because of this that there was absolutely no way I could consider voting for Obama. First, with his limited Senatorial career, then with his last 4 years as the POTUS, his record is clear in that he either intentionally or by ignorance does not have the best interests of this nation or it's people at heart.

I'm not a single issue voter either, but there are just too many things about Obama that SCREAM that he was the worst choice for this nation. If nynco is as intelligent as I suspect he is, for the life of me I can't fathom any reason why he'd back Obama. I can, however, understand the less intelligent and easily persuaded (brainwashed / bribed) for voting for him as Obama's rhetoric is silky smooth.

Regarding the issue of Obama's first term & gun rights, yes he has taken actions against this freedom and he clearly and unequivocally stated his intent for his second term to take it as far as he possibly can. His appointment of 2 clearly anti-gun/anti-Constitution Supreme Court justices, the Fast and Furious scandal with HIS blatant cover-up, and his participation - and inclusion of the United States in the UN Gun Ban Treaty are the 3 most obvious examples of what action he's taken against our gun rights.

You mean like Bushes signing statements... for which he holds the all time record. Yeah I have a problem with circumventing the Constitutional separations of powers and do so for any president in relation to signing statements.

Anyway, back on topic, I did manage to get a pretty good deal on 1K 55 gr FMJ's at the tanner show in Loveland today. Elk Bomb hooked me up with a bunch of powder at his usually great prices, and some other stuff. Sportsman's on 84th had a shockingly good stock of primers and powder yesterday when I got there and took home 3K primers and 9 lbs of powder too.

I'm pretty well stocked with what I've bought this week and what I had on hand before. Should be able to get through the craziness spike as long as the govt doesn't get stupid I won't really have to conserve much. Thankfully it's snowmobile season coming and I'll spend less time shooting and more burning fossil fuels so that'll help. 2 fold win, piss off the greenies and conserve my ammo

I am a Veteran. You guys are the ones who are going off the handle right now. You whine about Liberals bashing others and then do it to someone who supports your rights to the 2nd Amendment.

So far Obama has done nothing to gun owners. I don't think he will. I will say that if he tries I will be calling my representatives to tell them to I don't approve. Who do you think the liberals are going to listen to? Someone who votes for them or extremists like you guys who never will? Once again you are spiting yourselves.

As a fellow Vet, I am offended that you use your Veteran status so bluntly in a feeble attempt to preface your machinations. Do you think that Military service, or lack of, gives you any more, or any less, consideration in your arguments?

If you think that for one minute, your -assumed liberal - representative gives a shit about your pro 2A stance on gun control, unless he/she is trolling for votes, you're very, very naive. If you think that Romney's position on Pro-Life ever had a snowball's chance in hell of repealing Roe v Wade, you're even more naive.

When Obama starts doing that I will be against him for that. So far he has not. Fast and the Furious stuff is a bunch of crap. But it was crap that was started by Bush. I have no idea what the whole truth is. I do not put it past some out of control dept to do it under the table even when told not to. To me that is what it looks like happened. They were doing it under Bush and I am sure some extremist who hates Obama just as much as you said... FUCK OBAMA I am going to keep on doing what we have always done.

If you have no idea, it's generally not a good idea to use it as a basis for argument or to defend your position. POTUS knew damn well and good what was going on with F&F. Signing Executive Orders to prevent the truth says a lot. Get your facts straight. You and everyone else that voted for O' just opened the door for more anti 2A measures, more bottom feeding teat sucking entitlement trash that honest, hard working, tax-paying folk like me get to support, and more debt that will bankrupt our great country.
