Congrats on not dying. I had the same thing happen when I got all four of my wisdom teeth out in the Navy. I was all messed up on pain pills and I knew something wasn't right as I sat there eating my pudding and banana pieces. Then bam I just passed out and woke up the next day in the ER. I guess I sat there with my face in the pudding for a good hour or so before someone realized that there was something wrong.

The mouth is filled with a garbage pail of bacteria, and not only does an antibiotic-less operation risk infection in the op site, but it's fairly common to elevate the risk of heart attack, cardiac bacterial infections, and even stroke. I'm a healthcare professional, and I've seen it countless times. It's the equivalent to operating on somebody's gut without using sterility. Fucking stupid... dentists should be required by law to prescribe prophylactic antibiotics. The good ones do.

This. People need to educate themselves otherwise you get a nasty infection and end up in a body bag. Open wound = risk.

I had a root canal done when I was much younger and had it re-crowned a couple years ago. Well the root cal wasn't done properly and it to infected a couple weeks ago. I had it extracted and now am looking towards an awesome $3000 implant. The repercussions of no implant is not an option for me. PS glad you didn't die.

    That's what freaked me out...

I was fine more or less then BLAM ..not so fine.. I live alone and no one expected me anywhere till this evening... it coulda been real bad if I had not caught on when I did ..

And the Do Not Resuscitate talk with the ER doc freaked me the fuck out...

I've had guns pulled on me.. bullets fly past me .. knifes fists kicks thrown at me .. had 6 on 1 fights ( with me being the one) had super close calls on my motorcycles... all that shit just made me mad ...

that DNR talk freaked me out!!!!!!!!!!

My last experience with a dentist was less then fun. Of course what he did was pull what looks to be a hippo tooth from my mouth. The pain later that day was the worst I have ever experienced I actually had to change my 1-10 scale. Worst pain of my life. I now need an implant but I am emotionally scarred from my extraction.

And it happened on my birthday. Fun fun fun.

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.

You don't have enough "Man Prettyness" to justify 3k on an implant, besides what do you think chicklets are for

On a serous note I hate the Dentist (not mine just the thought). I hate gas and just rather be shot up locally and then be done with it. I have an excellent dentist on 120th & Colorado Blvd. Great guy and willing to work with anyone with or without insurance. If anyone needs the number just pm me.
