I have a customer (Restaurant in Niwot) he's a vocal obama supporter. I was talking to him yesterday and he was planning on reducing hours of most of his full time employees to 30 hours a week so he didn't have to supply insurance because he's a small business owner and "can't afford the added expense"

When I mentioned to him that his vote for his president showed support for this program, he replied that he doesn't agree with everything obama does/says, but the option of 4 more Bush (that's right, Bush) years scared him

I have better luck arguing with a brick wall then the few progressive "friends" I have left.
YES!! This is my main problem- they come out and raise their voice while you're trying to have a civil debate- because I think Liberalism teaches "He who speaks loudest is more correct." The other issue is in regards to facts, they get theirs from Huffpo and MSNBC, which really aren't facts. Then they claim everything you say, that is if you even get a chance to speak because they're either yelling or interrupting, is from Faux News and entirely false. Yeah, I watch Fox News, I don't derive all my facts from them, I just happen to like O'Reilly and Hannity, and have a huge crush on Megyn Kelly and Martha McCallum.

My other problem, and here is where I honestly believe that nynco has crossed that threshold that we've all been advised not to cross (full retard): Reagan. Every educated person I've talked to praises Reagan and his economic policies. But, every liberal I've talked to claims that Reagan is the reason our economy is in the dump. Reagan was the last great president this nation had. Sure he had some missteps, like with the 2nd Amendment, but overall he did more good than anything else, and these liberal claims that Clinton was so great, he was just riding the wave that originated with the Reagan administration.

Bottom line- Liberals are fucking dumb and blind to the real facts.

Neg... the problem with BOTH sides is that fact are like statistics, both can (and are) skewed to a certain point. Just because something is a "fact" does not make it right/true. One of the biggest problems is that there is no moral standing on an absolute truth these days, so that skews things even further. Now I'm not defending liberal POS's, but we must admit some fault in our own communication as well.

    It's like arguing about diamonds.

Liberals say diamonds are the toughest rock on earth.
Conservatives say that diamonds are the hardest rock on earth.

Technically, both are correct and both are wrong. Diamonds are amazingly tough but will still shatter under pressure. Diamonds are amazingly hard but can be shaped as well. It's all about the presentation of the facts.

I know that's a lame analogy, but it's all I have at the moment. It's a communication problem, we start name calling and it just goes downhill from there. Or we both use classic tangent lines, avoidance of main point of questions, etc... Can't argue with an idiot.

No, that's a great analogy. But seriously, I'm not talking about the facts in different light, I'm talking about Democrats misrepresenting opinion and calling it fact. Or just making shit up to begin with. Sure both sides skew things and twist facts, but when you have irrefutable fact and present it, they come up with a bold face lie that challenges that fact (actual fact, not perceived fact) but claim it is the real fact of the matter. I've seen the right do this as well, but it happens at a far greater rate for liberals.

Were you even alive when Reagan was president? What the hell do you know from Reagan? If Reagan were around today he would be smeared as a pseudo-liberal from California by damn near everyone you listen to.

Sounds like your the one who keep raising their voice to be heard by speaking the loudest. By the way... Just because you create the most posts out of everyone on this forum doesn't make you the holder of any or all of the facts.

You keep calling everyone who disagrees with you a liberal, and sooner or later you will get smacked in the mouth.

All due respect- What the fuck are you talking about? I was talking economically speaking Reagan was good. And yes, I was alive during his presidency. I don't raise my voice during discussion (it's impossible to outside of typing in all caps on here), and I don't think the most posts equals all the facts- please, don't put words in my mouth. I don't call anyone a liberal unless they actually are (Rucker and nynco), I do accuse people of sounding similar to liberals when they actually do IMHO. And if you think resorting to "smacking me in the mouth" is the answer, I ask that you might need to pump your brakes, take a deep breath, and calm down.

Oh, for the record, I hardly have the most posts... Try not to twist things in an attempt to make me out to be the bad guy, we're all on the same team here. I have no problem with you, but it would seem that you have issue with me. If you wish, I invite you to PM me with your issues with me so we can resolve them instead of resorting to petty attacks on here, derailing a civil discussion.
