This is one of the 22 rifles that Pickenup gave away a few years ago. Originally for my son, who's graduated to the bigger stuff, and now for my daughter.

I think the coolest part of the pic is the pink shit kickers and of course they match the glasses and earpro.

Great photo! Good to see the little ones enjoying the sport.
(careful with the open knife laying there)![]()
That is pretty cool, how old is she? Love the matching pink boots earmuffs and glasses.
I shot my first 22 when I was five, an old school single shot bolt 22 bolt action Anschutz. I now have that gun I shot as it was my dad's who was given to him as a gift when he was a boy from my grandfather. My oldest is 5 but I don't feel he has the overall maturity for control yet. Next summer we will see. Since I have two boys I decided NOT to pass down the Anschutz to them, but instead get each of them a Ruger 22 to start a new tradition.

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"
