I usually show up in a thong and a bow tie. Can't figure out why I have never served.

I was going to show up in PJ's and a bath robe. There was no dress code and I'm sure I would have sparked up conversations with the tig bittied girls that were there. However, I showered, I shaved and I showed up to be totally serious about my right that even Ed Sardela supports.(He was in the intro video that introduced the responsibilities and rights that come from our constitution. No mention to the second amendment that is also in the bill of rights. Even though that is the first some of those ignorant people ever heard of the Constitution and the BOR.

I mentioned engaging in shooting sports, was a victim of a crime, and still got picked for an assault with a deadly weapon. I bet had I worked where I work now, and not in the call center I was working in then, I wouldn't have been picked.

Showing up is the civic duty. Getting picked is just icing on the cake.

I go when I'm called. I never get chosen, and most likely never will be chosen. Something about my chosen profession seems to twist the defense attorneys the wrong way.

    Thank you for your service.

Been called once on 28 years. The wife has sat on 3 juries, each and every one she found interesting. She also has a new respect for the term, Beyond A Reasonable Doubt. She said it is amazing how many people get/ pay for shitty lawyers AND how good / bad the prosecution can be.

Agreed. The only guy who I felt wouldn't rather be racing the bottom of a lollypop wouldn't say anything. While it was interesting, and I really enjoyed the experience, it was like serving with the most annoying, stupid person in your office ten times over.

I was born in the US, have been in CO for 20 years and have never once been called for JD. My wife who just became a citizen last January got a jury summons notice (or whatever it's called) almost every year before becoming a citizen. This was in both Adams and Gilpin Counties.

    What's wrong with this picture?

Edit before the sarcastic remarks: my wife was brought here as a Laos refugee from the Communists in '77 when she was 4 years old. She just never became a US citizen...until she met me. She's more American than many folks I know.

Since I've been in Colorado, close to 20 years, my wife and I get called pretty regular. I usually bring a book with me to pass the time waiting in the jurors area. Been called to the "box" only once though then dismissed. It was a dog-bite case, guess me being a long time dog owner and stating that dogs need to be properly trained and socialized got me dismissed. I wasn't trying to. They asked me some question and that was my honest and heartfelt response....

They looked at your response as biased to the defense. I bet that is why you were dismissed.
