Thing I don't understand is why there aren't more folks with their CCW. It takes some time and a little bit of money, and it doesn't mean you have to carry, but it is damn nice to simply be able to. Though I truly love my job for that reason. My boss was approached about there not being anything in the work rules about firearms in the building etc. His response, "I am aware, but I am not a hypocrite," and walked away from the person. Didn't say anything else on the subject.

I'm sure most people feel no need to CCW carry. Many people can't carry at work (me included). I can't even have one in my car for that matter. So CCW is a "weekend" thing only for me and I don't even do that all the time.
I do have my CCW but went many years without out simply because I felt no need. Why spend the money on something I didn't need. I only got mine in fear that they might do away with it in the near future and thought might as well get it just in case. Maybe I would be "grandfathered" in if they did stop giving out the permits. Also since moving here there seems to be a lot more shootings then from where I came from.

I have a question about why hospitals are allowed to disallow a concealed weapon. Seems odd they have this right. ANy explanation

That's all that Arapahoe county has? Wow...

How long did you have to wait before you got your permit issued?

Because most are private property and they can make their own rules.
