I never thought I would change your minds or the world. But I do hope that conservatives would start to evaluate what is going wrong and learn some history rather than just regurgitating the inane talking points without question. It goes to show how far to the extreme that the mainstream GOP has gone when Eisenhower is considered a liberal. Eisenhower was one of the best presidents of the 20th century. He built things. He used common sense (in my opinion) on many of the key issues facing the nation. He did not sign onto some anti-constitutional - no taxes no matter what - blood oath by the Grover Norquists of his era.

If you want to see what I am talking about regarding the GOP of Eisenhower vs now, this is a great article to read that goes through and quotes the GOP party platform of 1956 vs today. It shows how far we have been dragged to an extreme. The Dems are to the right of the GOP of 1956.

Honeybadger, please read what was posted before. It was another poster calling me gay and who is now stalking me around the board calling me a pussy. I just pointed out to him that he seems to have a fascination for that subject. A fascination that might have to do with the psychological term called "projection". I could give a rats ass if anyone is gay. I also try not to use that issue to call other people names. It rather stale like poo

You are utterly oblivious to irony, aren't you? You wrote both above in the same breath. With no clue how completely ridiculous it looked.

Ah so the CATO Institutes plans for a national healthcare fix and Romney Care are both socialist. yeah...

I wish Obama was a socialist. Maybe then we could end the rigged market that we live in today and return to a more balanced market like we had in the past. But Obama won't do that because he was funded by Wallstreet.
