Pueblo Tactical Rifle Matches: Gear Question

I'd like to shoot the upcoming tac rifle match at Pueblo, but the only bolt action rifle I have access to is a fixed-magazine hunting gun.

I know that shooting the match with such a rifle will put me at a disadvantage, but would it be a worthwhile undertaking anyway?

you can shoot it with just about any rifle you have. I shoot an AR at all of them that I shoot. If its a bolt month then you will be fine.

I am pretty much sure this month (Oct 2008) is the AK vs AR match.

However, shooting a hunting rifle with a blind mag may be a pain, but Eddie does have a division for bolt action hunting rifles that completely bans mag fed rifles like a Tubb or an AI. Shooting this division will put you against a like rifle and you wont get pounded/trounced by a mag fed gun.

Get out there. Dont worry about your gear. Its the loose nut behind the scope that wins matches...
