In short, it's further proof that those who make the laws have no idea what they're doing.

Gabe, how did I know you were gonna show your child-friendly, far-from-vicious pit? Good looking family dog you got yourself. I agree that banning a breed because of a few fuckstains is stupid... hey, that sounds like AWBs...

Personally nothing says white trash like a pic bull (misspelled on purpose) I know it's not the breed's fault, nor is it necessarily reality. But being from the south, a pic bull says "trashy". No matter how kind, wonderful, well bred the dog may be. It may as well have 3/8" chain for a collar and be tied to a junk tire in your front yard.

ETA, HOWEVER a ban on them is ludicrous.

Are you not contradicting yourself? By that....you think banning ludicrious, yet you steroetype an entire breed based on one region of the States.

When I got a pitbull, I was running 20-30 miles a week and one of the few breeds that could
standf up to the constant excersise. I grew very fond of the intelligence and their loyalty. My first pit, was about 110lbs.....an anomly,
and there was a rott or mix that was showing aggression towards me and he protected me, he didnt attack the dog up until it went for him
he was trying to blocl the dog from me and once the dog attacked Puck, it was on like donkey kong. Puck whooped up on him and the owner
knew he was in the wrong. Ever since then, I have owned pits. My next will be either a blue pit or a rhodesian ridgeback!!!!!!!

I can stereotype all I like.

I don't think legislation should be enacted upon my stereotypes, how does my opinion impact you and why should you care? I'm not so much a stereotyper as a "trend noticer" anyway. You may not fall into the trend, but a lifetime of experience says you do until you prove otherwise. A "guilty until proven innocent" attitude about certain things. Is it right? Maybe not, but It's human nature. Your life experience shapes your perception of the world around you.

There are exceptions to every breed or even species. Some animals just have bad dispositions. But that being said Bad dogs are created by bad owners. It is up to the owner to be responsible for there animals not the government in banning a certain breed

Trying not to say too much, but if you get your pit/mix from the SPCA, they may be willing to change the paperwork to list a different breed. Small concession to get the dog into a loving home.

What is this free speech thought your attempting to use as a solid defense.

I was honestly just bustin your balls. I do understand stereotypes and I have proven that stereotype wrong when folks encounter me with my pup.
