Let's see where all of nynco's pro-gun democrats fall on this one. I'm telling you, "pro-gun democrat" is an oxy-moron. This is just the beginning:

Thanks for that, Carl... The room is spinning from all the hypocrisy. But you are 100% correct, Pro-Gun and Democrat don't belong in the same sentence.

Hey you learned a new word from the FIRM thread...............

..........I have seen a couple of the news article "Democrat Pro gun NRA life member" is now saying warming up to sensible gun control............. I am so tired and angry................ what to do?

In defense I know plenty of GOP members who are okay with gun control. The Original AWB was not a single party event either.

Good friend of mine is a gun owner, and Obama voter. As was my dad, and his best friend. I don't get it, but they are, so...

Yeah, I know a couple who are hardcore Obama lovers and are all excited about getting guns for Christmas. I don't get it.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

What's wrong with that? Just because you prefer one candidate or party over another doesn't mean you have to agree with them on every single issue. Anyone who does that is probably a complete retard with no free thought.

Right, since all gun control legislation comes from Democrats these days... it's part of the package deal, you support the Democratic party you support an anti-gun stance, whether you like it or not. That's the sad, sorry, unfortunate truth right there.

I know plenty of gun owners who identify themselves as Democrats.

Hell the vast majority of the people on SomethingAwful's gun board and /r/guns say they are Democrats. Can't blame them, seeing as the other major party is full of religious whackjobs.

Yes, insofar as you are voting for someone who may vote that way in congress, but that does not mean you actually support that stance. No free thinking person agree's with every stance of either party and everything every member of that party does. But to say that there can't be a pro-gun democrat is just idiotic. There might not be many in a position of power, but there are many millions in the general population. You are allowed to have a stance that does not follow the party line, and it is not uncommon at all among normal people.
