Funny you mention cement. Back in Elgin, IL near were I lived, there is a restaurant called Al Capone's Hideaway. Basically its a fancy steak house that used to be Capone's Hideaway right on the river. All sorts of stories of them running the booze across the river via boat during a raid.

Anyhow, Capone's actual shoes are on display there and they happen to be in a block of cement.
