    I know this is a bit old, but I carry a Combitube in my kit for airway management... another option is the King LT

    Good items but again, have to be EMT-I or above to use legally in the US or face assault charges. If you don't have a BVM, then you're not following approved methods for using the device.

    EMT-Bs are now allowed to place a King tube in Colorado, but you still have to have the BVM.

    Yep...

    I totally agree with what coloccw has said about these devices, however I'm in the camp that I'll use whatever I need to help family and loved-ones.

    Both true. Just picked up a pocket BVM, yet to try it but it looks like a good item to have along.
