I have a picture of me getting a "Buddy L" gas pump for Christmas when I was a kid.

The price on is said "$0.25/gal".

My kids asked me where the "2" was ($2.25).

They figured I was old enough for $2.25/gal gas, but would NOT believe me about the $0.25/gal gas...with LEAD in it , yet.

In Louisiana in the 70s and 80s...Budweiser (and other US brands) came in 10 oz cans...same freakin' price as 12 oz cans here. But hey, the beer stayed cold to the last drop, so no bitchin' here.

I wasn't drinking it but I remember the rip tabs on cans that looked like V8 cans. I think it was Schlitz

I think you can still get those, also the ponies in the small bottles were good.. Both Miller and Budweiser were doing those.
    Thanks,

Many to most imported beers come in metric sizes, which can be the aforementioned 333ml, or .5l. Paulaner, Ayinger, Hacker-Pschorr, other german and austrian beers.

Unless they have a US bottler, or very big US presence, it comes over in euro-spec glass.
