Happy New Year! The latest numbers from InstaCheck are as follows: 11,878 checks in the queue. The team has run more than 1,000 background checks for firearms purchases today. They are currently processing checks submitted on 12/23 (early afternoon).

Has anyone else noticed they seem to be doing less and less each day? Initially they were doing around 2200 a day. If I'm not mistaken they managed to do over 4K on Black Friday and now every update I see from them indicates they have done less than they did the previous day.
Its not just them. It's everyone doing less. It's the holidays you know.
They are adding 26 temps in order to try to catch up, starting next week as well as moving people from other sections of CBI who have experience with the databases in there temporarily until the temps can get up to speed.
