I don't think ignorance is something to brag about or count on.

Not to say the US isn't the greatest, best country in the world right now, but trying to whitewash bad things that have been done in the past (or hey, are currently being done - Obamacare anyone?) is counterproductive.

America doesn't need a ministry of propaganda to make it's case for it, an honest look at its history does plenty for us. Not like we have to hide anything to look good in the aggregate.
