Please note that the act of expressing your honest opinions about this topic may be in violation of federal law if overly emotional or posting while drinking. And I guarantee the feds and the media are reading these threads looking for stupid people blurting stupid things that can be quoted to make all gun owners look bad.

I will say that the act of issuing an Executive Order that, in effect, violates or revokes the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution -- barring any clear and present danger or existing state of emergency -- would be a very poorly thought out decision on his part. It seems as though it is being done almost on a whim, at the very beginning of his second term.

Unlike a lot of others here, although I did not vote for him and disagreed with him on many topics, I always respected the President's intelligence and felt that -- even when he was clearly wrong -- his intentions were good. If, however, he chooses to bypass Congress and issue an EO to make it a felony crime for citizens to own currently legal firearms currently in their collections, well, at the very least he'll need to be impeached for that transgression. And unlike Clinton and Bush, this will not just be a few congressmen grandstanding for the media. I believe he would be removed from office by Congress by this time next year . . . and I can see similar action taken against Biden, Holder, and Bloomberg. I think they got cocky and overconfident and are not anticipating the level of blowback they'll face. "If it only saves one life" . . . what a BS justification. Narcissistic egomaniac throwing around EOs at his whim as if he were anointed by the gods . . . sorta reminds me of the fall of Rome.

This ^. No less than treason.
