As long as I can say I am not answering that question as it violates any number of my rights as a US citizen.

Feinstein has hers ready to go. I think she planned to introduce here bill later this month.

Anywhere from a couple of days to never. I'm not being glib either. A bill can be brought up in the House or Senate and acted upon within a few days, or they never touch it (and it has to be re-introduced the next session).

If we don't have a new AWB and/or mag ban passed the house and senate by the end of next month they'll likely never get it through (and I'd say the chances of passing anything are almost nil).

Now, that said Colorado is in grave danger of passing their own stupid gun laws in that same time frame.

I'm not saying we can rest and ignore the goings on in DC but for us the goings on in Denver are a clear and present danger and that's where us on this forum need to be focused.

Not at all... sorry it came off like that.

The substance of my statement is: "the Affordable Care Act does prohibit them recording the information or sharing it." The comment about my doctor was an aside.

    -------

“may not require the disclosure or collection of any information” relating to the “presence or storage of a lawfully possessed firearm or ammunition in the residence or on the property.” Further, the measure says the law cannot be used to “maintain records of individual ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition.” It adds that the price of health coverage may not be affected by the ownership, possession or use of guns.

What is most interesting about that is that its 100% pointless.

He can "clarify" whatever he wants to all day long (and twice on Sundays) that doesn't change the text of the law.

Again, this is indicative of what this entire dog, pony and little kid show this was ... it was theater. Zero substance.

    11. Nominate an ATF director.
So, the BATFE doesn't have a director right now? Must be why so much violent gun crime is happening.

    14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.

Does anyone else see how the CDC is remotely even related to gun violence?

    22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
Lets sign this as an EO just so we're committed to doing something.

    23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.
Again, lets sign an EO to talk about something.

    16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. Why would that be a concern for non-mental health professionals to ask their patients? "I'm here for the flu." "You got firearms in your house?" I can't imagine doctors and nurses asking this question.
Really? We switched the kids doctors because they asked about firearms many years ago. Many doctors medical health forms ask about smoking, alcohol, seat belts and more recently, firearms. Now they are going to be asking kids even more questions when they go see the school nurse. Not criticsing, but your imagination is way too deeply rooted in common sense.

Reid put something into ObamaCare prohibiting this, now they want to take it out...

Agreed. At this point I'm far more concerned with Colorado passing a "high-capacity" magazine ban.

If the Feds were to try one, it would likely grandfather existing mags, but you can bet any state ban would not.
