I've got a Suzuki DR-Z400S and ride primarily on the fire roads and trails these days. I'm thinking of heading up to Rampart Range riding area this afternoon to see if it's not too muddy. If you're not familiar with it, it's the area on the north end of Rampart Range Road where it Tees into the road between Sedalia and Deckers.

ok, back together... only a couple things left to do...

    1. clean airfilter
    2. might have to adjust a couple spacers on a chain guard.
    3. rear brake might have to be bled... but it could just be me.... haven't ridden it since last fall.

other than that, it's all ready.

started up on the 2nd kick (as I would expect) and drove it up and down the alley a few times... can't wait to get on the trail again.

I'm going riding in the dirt somewhere this holiday weekend - it would be unpatriotic not to. Also planning to go shooting somewhere.

    Where's Waldorf Mine?

It's supposed to be nice this weekend and I'm ready to branch out to different trails from Rampart Range.

I've been up Argentine Pass from the Georgetown side but not down the other side. A couple weeks ago, a buddy and I tried to drive up Guanella Pass but couldn't get more than a mile or so past the power station because of heavy snow pack. I'd bet getting over Argentine Pass would also be problematic but I'll ask him how Guanella Pass road is looking if he gets a chance this week. He lives in Georgetown.

I've also been up to an old mine from the Montezuma side but it wasn't on the Argentine Pass road. There's a lot of trails that come together in the Montezuma area, so even if we couldn't get too high we'd have a lot of ground to explore. Keystone is supposed to be mid 60s and sunny on Saturday, great riding weather.

Either side I'm up for a ride Saturday. Shall we do it?
