I kinda like TJ's...he quoted me $20 over the phone to get off a stuck receiver extension and when I brought it in he took it back and wrenched it off and only charged me $10...plus he has that cool clock ringed with 5.56 rounds

anyone hear of any other good gunsmiths? Other than prairie arms and tj's. Prarie arms website lists olympic arms as the best of the AR 15's. If they think Olympic arms is the best ar you can buy I am a little suspect of them.

if a smith listed Colt as the only AR i'd look elsewhere.... either way what works for some doesn't work for others.

    regarding your rebarrel.
    1) i wouldn't hold my breath on $200 or less.
    2) unless it's something small most smiths do larger work at their own pace. if you're told 2- 3 weeks plan on that many months, easy
    3) knowing you're on a limited price range, i doubt your project would get as much attention as others.

    YMMV

The Browning rep in town has told me that the Bass pro has a really good gunsmith although I expect it won't be cheap.
