Default Damn I need a smoker and truck driver benefits!

My brother just dropped off a big ass low fat brisket. He got 8 of them free because the box was damaged (bag is still sealed) when he got to TX. My big GE slow cooker (family hand down, oooollldddd lead paint type model) isnt big enough for it or I would do BBQ sandwiches. I dont have a smoker. How should I cook this bad boy?

You can try my grandmothers recipe it's super easy. Either in a slow cooker or the oven, 2 packets onion soup mix, one bottle chili sauce, 1 can of your favorite light beer. In a slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or in an oven at 325 for 3-4 hours. Makes the juiciest meat and most incredible gravy ever.

If I was to cheat some smoke flavor into something like that, I'd throw it on the charcoal grill to cook the outside, then slow cook it (braise in the oven or throw it in the crockpot). You don't have to leave it whole if you put it in the crockpot, cut it up so it fits, and let it break down.
