Well, she is older than 10, but is a great kid. She actually RO'd stage at the Pro-Am in 2012.
James and I teach 3Gun here in CO and you are more than welcome to bring kids to watch the class, or take the class no charge.
That was amazing. Also that Course looked awesome!! Loved the shotgun stage with the "walk" swivel-back&forth portion.
Also, the thing that struck me was how much muscle-memory is easier for kids. Poor analogy, but I remember being amazing at video games in very short time back when I was younger, and now when I try, I can't do a darned thing. Would have been awesome to start shooting at such a young stage, when now when I get to do competition I'm all thumbs. Just needs more practice!!

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.
She's better than me...
If God blesses me with a daughter, I can only pray that she can shoot like that!

Why was her pistol not already chambered and ready to go? MarkCO, is that part of 3-gun that it must be unloaded?

Yes, in some matches on some stages, that happens. Some MDs get "scared" when a holstered gun gets pointed anywhere other than downrange (like rifle prone etc.) and so make us do unloaded starts. Others are so adverse to DQing anyone they make it nearly impossible to drop a loaded gun and so go with unloaded guns. Actually, we had unloaded starts with all three platforms on several stages last year.Originally Posted by Irving
