He looks to be within less than 50 yards from a road to me. Looks like he's shooting in the backyard of a Cherry Creek home.

Ah memories. I remember the first time I shot a gun. I was a lot younger than 50 or 51 whatever his age is. Still am a lot younger than that BTW.
