Humidity, heat and too many people. Texas might be OK if weren't for all the damn Texans.
WY would be OK, too, if I could afford to live where I'd want to live. And, as others have said, we need a place where there are jobs...specifically for a well-qualified RN. The eastern half of the state is out. Been there, done that, hated the constant wind and bitter cold in the winter.
After the last election, good luck with that. I understand the sentiment, though. And I've already been told by another member that I need to "man up" and stay here for the same reasons.
It's getting closer to reality. Just to underscore the seriousness of the situation, I've sold the Harley to help finance the move.
Part of the criteria in selecting a new home is going to be an acreage large enough and without any restrictions to that I can build a basic range. We're probably looking at a minimum 20 acre spot (at least I hope). So we'll also have room for RV parking or camping if anyone wants to come up. We'll work out all those details later.
