I believe the upside down "U" is for "battle sight". Basically the standard all around sight setpoint for most shooting. You will notice that when you go from 100M to "battle sight" that the sight will raise up a bit. I think battle sights is around 200-250 meters but I could be wrong.

The AK74 is probably my most accurate AK variant. It quickly becoming my "go to" gun.


When you go to sight your rifle in set your rear sight at 100M and set up your target at the same distance. When you start shooting to sight in your gonna adjust your FRONT SIGHT only. Once this is set you shouldn't have to touch it. This will set up your windage and elevation perfect. Double check at 200 meters and you should be good to go.
