Exactly my point! I have no doubt that it actually is bad tonight... this is the closest thing to a REAL snowstorm Colorado has seen in 3 years! ...Which is why Coloradans don't know how to drive in it! ...Not to mention the huge number of military folks around Colorado Springs that have never seen snow before...

No damned excuse. I grew up in Hawaii driving a RWD station wagon on loose sand so a little snow doesn't bother me. In retrospect, I agree it's how you drive rather than what you drive but the dumbarse blowing past me in his 2WD pickup when he's fishtailing across 2 lanes was just aggravating. Yeah, it was annoying to be doing 0-5 mph but just what did he think when he saw a line 1/2 mile long up the hill? I hope he got to cool his jets for a good long while after he finally admitted to himself that he wasn't getting up the hill with his lack of traction.

I live up at the top of the Austin Bluffs hill near Stetson Hills Rd (Sundown subdivision). Been here 17 years and learned more than 15 years ago to avoid that hill once it gets slick; there's always wrecks and wiped out cars blocking any traffic from moving. Sad thing is that most every route to my home has a significant hill to contend with.

One of the greatest blessings of retirement is no longer having to daily drive no matter what conditions. I drove as a service tech for decades. Stay safe folks.

This is the one benefit to a 545am drive to work. It's just me and blinking yellow stop lights at that time in the morning.

The commute into Boulder was to be expected. Rear wheel drive mustangs spinning out in the fast lane and AWDs going slow in the right lane...I never get it

Like the asshole who flew past me on I-70 (Mt. Vernon Canyon) in a '99 Mustang... three miles later in the ditch just after the Morrison exit. Dumb.

Even worse, many of those RWD folks don't keep good tires on their cars/trucks. I used to install tires and you wouldn't believe how many people don't get new tires until they are down to the radial or worse, actually get a blowout because the tires are so bald. Seriously, next time you're at Walmart and you're walking through the parking lot check out people's tires...50% of them will look like Mr. Clean's head. Bald tires + snow =

And AWD/4WD folks neglect their tires too. Even with bald tires they think they have traction because they were able to get rolling but 4WD doesn't help you stop...only the tire's can do that. People don't crash because they can't get going, they crash because they can't stop...dummies.
