I think the military shot down a UFO at Walker Army Airfield in 1947. A few months later Congress passed the National Security Act of 1947 authorizing the Air Force & CIA among other things. Even Obama refuses to confirm or deny any knowledge of extraterrestrials. We probably won't get to see this technology until a huge asteroid starts threatening to make us extinct.
