I picked up a G19 in a trade, it shoots, not any better than anything else I already own. It's got a gritty trigger on it compared to my Sig P228 and the XDm. So I'm not impressed. My 2 cents.

I've taken several new shooters to the range this past year, they always want to "Shoot a GLOCK!" like it's some super natural godly thing to do. Meh. whateva.

I own 5 now, 4 of them are Gen 2s...my favorite because I can't stand the finger grooves on later ones. Also have a Gen4 G21 and it's the most accurate Glock I've ever seen.

Bottom line? I think you could spend more money and not get as much gun. There's a lot to like about them but to me they're strictly utilitarian and I've never been really attached to one. They really don't have a soul...unlike a nice 1911 or an old S&W revolver.
Exactly. They're good guns, reliable. You could do far worse. I've just never cared for the feel of em. Give me a SIG or 1911 any day. But, we carry em at my work now, and I didn't want to go back and forth between it and a 1911, so I sucked it up and bought one.

No Glocks ever. SA guy with both XD and XDm. I handled a lot of guns and bought the one that fit my hand best. I also have a 1911 .38 Super that is a great gun.

Yes I have a couple "of some sort".

I had a 21 for a couple of years. I have only have gotten rid of four guns in my life. The last one I got rid of was a Glock 21. I couldn't empty a mag without jacking up my wrist. It just didn't fit me.

I do have a Model 78 and a Model 81. They are some of the best money I have ever spent. I love them. I'm surprised more people don't carry them.

I was a glock hater until I was issued one. Now after having one on my hip everyday (g23) i have grown to appreciate them and have bought one of my own (g19).

No Glocks here, the finger grooves don't fit my hands. The M&P is my choice, they were built specifically to beat the Glock in every way. I have 4.

I had an early 45 acp, but did not care for it. I much prefer my M&P 45.

I don't mind Glocks. I had the G36 single stack .45 for cc when I was a cop. Sold it to another officer when I moved overseas. I carried a H&K Stainless Steel USP .45 as my duty weapon. Still have that one and a Springfield Armory 1911 TRP. I shot the G21 several times at the range, it doesn't win any beauty pageants, but it goes bang when you pull the trigger. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Glock in the future. Never shot the XD or M&P. Personally, I think the S&W M&P is uglier than a Glock, but all the tupperware guns are ugly (except my USP) when compared to a nice 1911.
