It appears Democrat legislators in every battleground state are pushing their far-left liberal agenda as hard as possible. This is only the beginning, for them.

I really don't know what the final vote will be in the Senate, but I won't be surprised if they pass pretty much on party lines. Don't get me wrong, we need to keep fighting and writing letters, calling, emails at every opportunity and not give up - ever. However, just realize that in many cases the die is cast...

It doesn't matter. What matters is the understanding of what is happening now is the important part. All of our voices speaking for the same thing, preserving the Constitution and our 2A rights. We have all made our mistakes, as long as we learn from them is all that matters.

Unfortunately, that just isn't true. That's nothing more than a platitude.

For starters the democrat party hasn't made it a secret they're for more gun control. If someone voted democrat that wasn't a "mistake". It was a conscious choice to vote against gun rights. Now, regardless of the fact that "all of our voices (are) speaking for the same thing", it's obvious those democrats who were voted into office don't care what we're saying. At all. As much as I wanted to believe the speeches, emails, calls, faxes, letters and the tremendous outpouring of opposition to the democrat anti-gun bills would make a difference, their minds were made up. Period.

In the face of overwhelming opposition they are knowingly and intentionally governing against the will of the citizens of this state.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Same here. I intend on giving it my all to make the changes in government until 2014 and then reassess. If there's a glimmer of hope then I will stick it out until 2016. But if after an election cylce it becomes abundantly clear that Colorado has no intention of heading in the right direction, I will be taking my family elsewhere. I refuse to be called a criminal for something that "cannot be infringed" in the overarching law of the land. I refuse to raise my son (and other future children) in a liberally-diseased paradise. W

hat was it Ronald Reagan said about the Democratic Party? I didn't leave the Democrats, they left me? That's how I'm starting to feel about my home state.

Guys instead of slapping strm_trpr up side the head here for his past, lets just welcome him to the fold and pat him on the back for waking up.

strm_trpr, what you think were "true Democrat ideals" pretty much died with JFK, your former party has been run by the hard left since LBJ took the party over and created the welfare state and it's got progressively worse (pun intended) every Dem administration since then (unfortunately what many of us consider "true Republican ideals" seems to have been born with and died with Reagan).

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

I was thinking the same thing, someone needs to smack this guy but that doesn't accomplish anything.

They are no longer democrats, they are no longer liberals, they are Progressives, plain and simple. 100 years since Theodore and Wilson turned this country down a dark path and now we will spend the next 100 trying to get out.
