Wasserm- Schulz, DNC chairperson said they already have high priced lawyers positioned in key states, to contest close elections if they lost.

The irony of the left. Condem anyone with money as an out of touch 1% . Yet willing to throw unlimited sums of money to buy the election. Bloomberg, embraced by the anti gun movement, elevating him to sainthood for his $50 + million. Everything they do flys in the face of what the D movement is about. No matter how blatant the act, 1/2 of America embraces them .
The soapbox failed. Let's see how the ballot box does. There's 1 option left.

I haven't voted yet. I'm having trouble deciding since a saw a commercial where Cory Gardner banned birth control. It also said that he doesn't believe in global warming. I've seen many pictures on the net of polar bears on a piece of ice that would disagree. I don't know if I can vote for a guy who will ban something that is a right.

Just kidding[ROFL2]

I heard on a local radio show that they were kicking back ballots if the signature wasn't a perfect match to their records. My family will go vote in person after work to make damn sure that it gets counted.

That will be interesting since my chicken scratching has some variation. Doing payroll and having to sign your name to paperwork many hundreds of times a week can do strange things to one's signature...but don't blink because you'll miss seeing it.

Good luck y'all! I just came back from voting. Outside my polling place, there was a young kid (looked like a freshman in college) who asked if I wanted a sample ballot. I first ignored him, but then thought "Hey maybe this will have a few bipartisan descriptions of the local issues that the actual ballot may not contain" and took a quick look at what he handed me. Right across the top in kind of subdued imagery was "Democrat" and I immediately laughed and said "Oh democrat, fuck off" and handed it back to him and went and voted. Part of me regrets being a bit rude to him, but then I realize the villainy involved in what he was doing and felt ok about it.

bwahahah, even one of Udall's chief contributors heckled him:

Then, finally, came the only reference to policy in Udall’s speech. “And by the way, I’m proud to stand with Colorado’s women,” he said, almost as an aside. “I’m proud to stand for reproductive freedom.”

An angry voice from the crowd jeered: “That’s not the only thing you stand for! Jesus Christ!”

Udall turned to a short, dark man on his left. The senator look genuinely stunned. “I’m sorry?”

“That’s not the only thing you stand for!” The heckler was Leo Beserra, a 73-year-old who made millions on Wall Street and, since the early 1990s, has shared a generous slice of that wealth with Colorado Democrats.

It's better if some people don't vote.

The outcome of this election will determine whether or not I try to come back to Colorado after my next tour is done. I hate to put it in those terms (and I am very optimistic about this election!) but if Colorado looks like a lost cause, I'll go somewhere else to enjoy my life, liberty, and happiness.

We might have a chance of winning. But like some of you, I also suspect some fraud to be had. Didn't they already discover some in Boulder? Dems posing as republicans. Of course they would do that, no self-respecting conservative would ever pose as a democrap.

It says that the (D)ombie apocalypse is in full swing, and short of pulling the same kind of dirty, underhanded, slimy tricks that CODA pulled then it's officially Californicated, and won't go back to any kind of sensible government until either the economy collapses, or there's a revolution.

You forgot to mention that it'll validate the dem's plan on how to turn red states to blue. I imagine it'll just make them all push harder in states like Texas. "See, you can ignore the people and still win elections".

That being said, I was hoping for a different answer. :(

True- I'd be inclined to move to Texas, and be VERY vocal about what happened here, and preventing it from happening there- if they turn Texas blue, then it will really hasten the economic collapse of the US

It may be obvious, but I think it's important to note that if you just "drop off" your ballot, the signature still gets verified just like a mail in ballot. If you go in person, you might as well actually vote in person at the polling place like Big John.

If Hick is out, and the state senate is under R control once again, I'd like to see 1st agenda to be some kind of outlaw of "gerrymandering" districts... there should be very specific criteria on how districts are defined, and those responsible for the gerrymandering in the first place should be stripped of all credentials...

I'm not saying to change the districts to make it favor GOP specifically (like D's did), make it illegal for either side to pull that shit again.

Watching Cspan and they were having callers. One 27 year old democrat called in. She went on for about 60 seconds, ranting about political ads. She used a ton of big and complicated words. The host was tryingto not bust out laughing. When the girl finally stopped, the host said that most of the audience probably didn't know what she just said unless they had a communication degree (or something) and asked what her question was in simple terms.

Her: So what is candidate A trying to convey in his ads?
Host: Well what issues are important to you?
Her: What?
Host: What issues are important to you?
Her: Um...well, what's not important?
Host: *giggle* How long have you followed politics?
Her: 6 years
Host:Have a good night

I was laughing so hard but that sums up the democratic millenials. Another younger democrat girl called in and said "I think more people would vote democrat if they understood the issues better and were more educated." Ugh.

Watching 9news and they just went through that - looks like Rep may be taking 5 of the needed 1 seats to take the state senate. Some probable gains in the house (they are guessing at least 3 seats) but not yet enough to call that the majority will shift.

The Governor's election is very close. I expect a recount to be called either way. If Beauprez wins it, there will be legal challenges.

So, I think CO won for the GOP on the national level, but we didn't regain control of the state itself.

The People's Republic of Maryland has elected a Republican Governor. This was one of the few states that the President went out (not far) and actively campaigned for the Democrat. No R in the PRM is a conservative, but to have so many D's give the finger to BHO is a dissing no one should take lightly.

Apparently the President and his advisors have already started talking about how they are not going to make changes to reconcile with the Congress they no longer control. Full speed ahead with amnesty by Christmas through EO.

Is there any wonder why even moderate Democrats have come to dislike this guy? How much time and money will need to be spent to undue the mess he has caused and is about to double down on over the next two years?

It looks like 67, 68 and 105 failed. 104 won! Just what I wanted! [Beer]

Same here. I will sleep much better knowing that Hickenlooper will be spending his time running a restaurant.

Bob up by 17k with 84.3% reporting.

Watching this is interminable.

Boulder and Denver counties still have outstanding votes.

bryjcom
11-05-2014, 00:02
ABC reporting ~1,614,372 votes cast for Governor, with 83% of votes reported, which leaves another ~33,000 votes to go.

This ain't over yet.

With 1,590,543 counted so far that leaves 23,829 votes left and BB leading by 16,507.

In order for Hick to pull it off, he'll have to get 69.2% of the remaining uncounted ballots.

If your number on total number of ballots is correct, that is a mighty feat to pull off.

Yeah, that was kinda' crazy since I was still in one of the threads. [mop]

Margin was down to 13k for Bob with 85.1%, then back to 15k with 85.2%. Would love to see something more decisive. Do we really want a recount situation?

A restaurant I'll never grace with so much as my shadow!

Let the Executive Orders begin!

Oh yeah. Since he used them so extensively to legislate from the Exec brach when the Dems controlled the Senate, just imagine what it'll be like now.

We all know Hillary will be running in the Presidential election in 2 years. If the GOP has any hope of regaining that seat, the GOP controlled Congress had better not f things up.

ABC news reporting 1,669,888 votes tallied with 85% of the expected vote reporting.

That means there's ~1,964,574 total votes, and 294,686 left to count.

bryjcom (https://www.ar-15.co/members/1038-bryjcom) , can you run the numbers on what % of the remaining total Hickenlooper would need to win?

It's gonna take extra time for all of the counters to get their shoes off. They can't count that high on just their hands.

Some percentage of libertarians would never vote for a Republican, even if that Republican were the second coming of Ayn Rand, and she came down from heaven while smoking a bowl and doing a mag dump with an automatic rifle.

Sounds like Denver and Boulder do still have about 10-20 percent of their votes yet to be counted but there are many other counties including ElPaso still counting too.

I am still hopeful Rs take the house, senate and the Gov chair.

There are a number of counties that are heavily going to Bob that haven't yet fully reported. Pueblo is 97.7%, so no huge moves there.

The Gang of Four have had much more of an impact on the leftward slide of Colorado politics than all of the libertarian voters in the intermountain west combined, but since Tim Gill doesn't post here, Bailey can't lash out at him.

It's been that way a few years now..This election cycle confirmed it for those in denial. The comments for most of the Coloradans opinion page have been an easy 80 - 85% progressive diatribe for some time.
