There were talking heads on TV this weekend all talking about the implications of both a indictment and a failure to indict (no-bill). The activists people all talked about how this would be a gross injustice if the officer was not indicted, and the LE people said basically the same if the officer was indicted. Correction - Missouri State Troopers up to 68,000, was West St Louis county that was 7,000, jumped very quickly to 15,000.

Sad, no reason for the destruction no matter what the outcome was. It got a review through the Grand Jury, that is all you can ask for. I will be curios to see what they release to the public to show what swayed them. Hopefully that will give the parents closure. It sounds like the demonstrations here in Denver are going much better. I'm waiting from word from a dear old friend/college roommate who's a Capt. with the Richmond Heights PD. Richmond Heights is 10-13 miles from Ferguson, which is several metro communities away, yet...).

I remember when he went thru the St. Louis Metro Police Academy. By then I was at my first duty station 20 miles across the Mississippi River from St. Louis into IL. We got together a lot during those days & he always felt he needed to use me to practice the holds, pressure point applications, take-downs, etc. on me.
