And I Would add that a good portion of the membership works for the government in one form or another.

It's simply not sustainable.

These 10's of 1000's of people are not buying guns for the first time because they believe all these government employees are good for our future.

let's take this one little CBI department for example. To the best of my knowledge they are open 9-9 7 days a week (correct? incorrect? not far off). At least 2 to 3 background checkers on at any one time. 2 shifts a day plus coverage for the extra hours, plus vacation, holidays etc. So there are at least 20 to 30 people who have this "background checker" job. Plus 3 shift supervisors. Plus a department head. Plus about 1/2 of a FTE of an HR person and probably another 1/2 of a FTE of an IT person.
We're talking 25 to 35 people making on average probably 40,000 to 50,000 PLUS benefits (usually figured at 50% on top of salary) so let's call it $75,000 a year times 25 people.
so, this one little department is making about 2,000,000 dollars a year. Plus building, room, computers, phones, IT support, heat, cold, etc, etc, etc

DOING A JOB THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE DONE AT ALL

since it's already done at the Federal side. (much less the constitutional argument pre-1968 that it was never done before then)

But it will never be cut. Those people will never be fired, they will continue to get raises, better buildings, more equipment, more benefits, bigger departments, more permanent people, etc.

I can give more examples, I'm certain everyone can. Even people employed by the government.

50 to 75% of government is total and utter waste. And everyone knows it even if they won't admit it.

It's simply not sustainable.
