From what I understand Paul is the owner and does live in Virginia. I had canceled my order last year due to the fact my order didn't qualify for the billet upgrade even though my lower was more expensive than the ones that got the upgrade and they couldn't produce the item. Several rounds back and forth I finally got my money. Paul gave me his personal cell if the refund hadn't showed in X amount days.

I talked to Paul this morning, and he is taking care of my order. I will post again when I get it. His partner left at the first of the year and took the machinists with him, which left a mess for Paul. I haven't heard both sides of the story so I won't comment on who was right or wrong. I will say that Paul is trying to make good on everything; it may take some time to get things back on track. He will post to the board; I think his status as a 30 day probationary user was preventing him from posting to this thread. I will say that I had two previous orders filled with no problems, and my 308 lowers were great.

From another comment (Facebook?) that mentioned a tight mag well I checked my two billet lowers last night. Mags scrape all the way in. No mag will ever freely drop from them :(

That was probably my post you are talking to. Both of my billet lowers were tight and I don't just mean new tight. One was so tight a hammer could not get a mag in there. I talked with Paul and to his credit, no questions, he took care of it. Both lowers are now operational and work fine. I would call him and see what he can do for you. Some shops get fed up and it becomes all about the attitude. I have personally not seen this from him.
The customer service for that company is absolute crap. Jair look at their FB page. They don't respond to messages, they don't refund orders, it is absolute garbage. People waited for lowers for a year that were promised within 4 months. They then have to track him down for a refund? Billshit.

The deal was $150.00 for a nice laser engraved with the image of your choice on both sides. The original lead time was 6 months and given the climate I figured Ok I'm willing to wait a little while for a decent lower.
So I get my first email update on 3/7/2013 essentially it stated that they were a little backlogged and also there was a delay in receiving some of the blanks for the lowers.
This is the update : if your order number is under 3,000 we have your forging material in house. If your order number is any greater, we have a rigid schedule to acquire the material within 30 days.
My order was 1454 Ok so as far as I can tell everything is still on track. They also added deal coins as a bonus or discount for other items for the delay. So far so good everything is as expected.
5/12/2013 next update well not really an update it basically went over more deal coin offers.
5/30/2013 received communication again they admitadly were behind but would give a free upgrade to billet if you would wait a little beyond the promised date. I sent then an e mail opted for billet I mean why not.
6/10/2013 emailed them for status didn't receive any response sent them request to make sure they had my ffl info as well nothing no response called them left messages no answer. But I figured OK they are busy and I opted for the upgrade.
7/7/2013 another update billets they have material in house and have started production. Awesome I'm number 1454 for the original and if a few people didn't order billet I'm hoping to see it soon. The upgrade was dubbed the customer in good standing upgrade plus a deal coin. I'm fairly patient free upgrade they are working on it no problem. I email them again to make sure they received all my ffl info and advise them that I don't need a special engraving they could use their logo to speed the process up.
10/9/2013 still no response to my emails but received another update. All of a sudden they are just starting on the billets that were started supposedly back in July. The update stated they were doubling the size of production and it would increase the production of billets 300% which was a croc of shit because unless they were doing 1 lower a day in July they basically lied. Emailed then called them left voice mails no response. Now I'm just getting pissed.
Next update 11/15/2013 if we waited over 6 months we received 220 of one of thier suppressors on top of thge deal coin and the billet upgrade. Oh and supposedly the billets are coming out at 500 a month but I haven't seen mine and they aren't responding to any method of contact at all.
Oh and magically they are in a new facility and decided that this was more important than keeping the timelines they sent.
Holidays come and go I let it go for a while longer other things came up. yeah yeah I know why didn't I dispute the charges I'm getting to that.
So now April rolls around I'm emailing them calling them trying everything I can minus driving to Colorado to have a few choice words with them. Then I get this bright idea hit them on their Facebook page. Lo and behold I get almost an immediate response I leery them know to cancel the order and to contact me with any questions.
I get a call back the same day from Lori who is very nice she advised me the lower was immediately put into production that day. I reiterated I didn't want it anymore she sounded surprised as she said but it's already over there let me see if I can stop it. Then tells me it should take 30 days to refund my cc . I know this is bullshit it takes about 3 days for that overall they only respond if you post on Facebook. What makes it worse is now they have received so much negative press from others posting they pulled down the live feed and you need to comment on the photos.
Do not buy from this outfit unless you never want to see what you ordered. Its day 29 and still no refund.
here is what a lot of us are going through right now, what makes it worse is the fact they have time to remove the neg comments on Facebook. What they do not have time to do is deliver what they promised or even at least update us for real. Myself included all just wanted then to acknowledge requests for info or refund s. Here was my experience.

I ordered two lowers from them early on. Things started sounding fishy when they kept pushing the delivery date back but promised more "deals". After a few attempts, I was able to get a refund. Glad I got out when I did.
I was contacted by them to do some barrel profiling for custom rifles on a contract basis. I called them back twice to chat with them about it. I was told that I would be called right back, the gent I needed to speak with was on the other line.
That was about 8 months ago.
Glad I don't do this to make money or anything.....
My lowers took over a year after ordering to get, I feel lucky I received anything at all.

Suppressor update:
Well, I finally picked up my can from Shadow Op’s on Friday, 20 June 23, 2014. The thing that still gets me is that the post mark date on my form 4 was dated 14 April 2014. That means that they had it in their possession for two months without contacting me and making arrangements to do the transfer. I had to call BATFE to get them to act. The sad ass reason they did not contact me, is that no one there knew how to do the transfer.Instead of figuring it out they just, sat on it for two months!
Now waiting on my biller upper with forward assist. They say they are at anodizing and should be shipping in the next (3) weeks. I am not holding my breath, deadlines have come and gone and I’m still waiting.

The person claiming to be Paul Russ that sent the PM has not responded here yet, nor posted anywhere else. I had wanted to order from them, but I can't until they get things caught back up.
Huh. First I've heard about these deal coins. Holding judgment for now.
Pm the shadow ops user that posted above. I informed Paul that he could only have one account. I left both active but told him to consolidate to the shadow ops account for the future.
I initially assumed the deal coin would be something like a digital coupon, but then read somewhere they were in the process of getting physical coins minted. Either way, I've received nothing and didn't get a response when I followed up via email after receiving my product. I don't intend to pursue it any further at this point as I don't anticipate spending any more money with Shadow Ops anytime soon.
I went in March and they demonstrated one of their 22 suppressors. I thought great lets do it. I paid for it and they said Paul would contact me about the NFA paperwork. I faxed him a copy of my trust, Paul contacted me right away. Well I've been put off and put off given multiple promises about getting the paperwork filed with the BATFE. As to date the paperwork has yet to be completed. I get Paul to respond by text ever once in a while but no progress. WTF. I hate to take this public like this but I'm frustrated, and not sure what my next step needs to be?
I've been waiting for my order for over 18 months, it's long past time to get the credit card companies involved.
I wonder how the ATF feels about this situation.
Would have canceled and disputed the charges LONG ago. But that's just me. What's so special about their products that's worth the wait/risk ?
I would have pulled the plug, but every time Paul would contact me and say it'll be done by the end of the day. The guys at the shop are all friendly and very willing to show product and the shop. The skids fall off when you need to contact the owner group that is out of state.
Price was right, $150 for a billet lower. They told us all upfront is was going to be 6 months out, after 6 months credit card companies say you are SOL.
Oddly enough right after I posted this I got a call from the guy at the facility and he said they have some lowers with different pictograph on the fire controls and if I wanted I could come get one. I told him I would take whatever I could get at this point. Can't go tonight though because they are having issues with their CBI account for running checks...
