The Coca-Cola imported from Mexico is pretty tasty. It's pretty silly that they can't make the real stuff here in this country.

I don't think ignorance is something to brag about or count on.

Not to say the US isn't the greatest, best country in the world right now, but trying to whitewash bad things that have been done in the past (or hey, are currently being done - Obamacare anyone?) is counterproductive.

America doesn't need a ministry of propaganda to make it's case for it, an honest look at its history does plenty for us. Not like we have to hide anything to look good in the aggregate.

Hey, you guys will get no argument from me here - These points are spot on. The demand comes from here. What's the solution? I'm not sure.. The war on drugs is a miserable failure. You're always going to have a percentage of the population that will 'abuse' substances. It doesn't matter if they are drinking, snorting coke, or huffing paint. I'm not sure how it would all play out but some mixture of legalization and decriminalization seems to make sense. I've seen fewer junkies on the streets of Amsterdam than I have in any major US city. (Maybe because they were all chilling in the gov methadone clinics...) And I certainly don't want to support inmates incarcerated for drugs in the US prison system. Letting addicts OD? Darwinism.........

I will say one thing about illegal mexicans who don't speak much english and are just here to try and send some money back home to keep their kids safe and wife happy. They are hard workers, bust their ass, and usually do a good job. We wanted to get a pretty substantial flagstone deck done and landscaping companies came out and quoted us a ridiculous price as there was quite a bit of work to get done, also their timeline was WAYYYY too slow. I asked the guy who mowed our lawn if he knew anyone, he asked his buddies (who didn't speak practically any english) and well lets say the deck didn't cost much after we bought all the flagstone and materials for them and construction started the next day. Oh and they did it in 1/4th of the time the actual landscaping company told us it would take. 10 years later it's still a solid deck none of the flagstones have even cracked, broken, sank or anything else.

Now lets move on to mexican'ts... You know the spikey hair'd little fucks with goatees who deal drugs on the side and get their girlfriends to try to sell it for them. All while cheating on their actual baby momma and not paying child support while living off the system... Yeah. I usually want to shoot those fucks on sight.
