Yes indeed, that is part of my efforts of today, to go through this thread from the beginning and to start reaching out to people. I was expecting far more PM's in my inbox this morning but perhaps there's just a delayed effect until the word gets out that I'm here and answering the phones :-)
Yep, I knew what I was getting into. In fact, I was one of the many unhappy customers (had 2 suppressors on order) and it wasn't until I drove down to the store that I realized just how much had gone wrong that was out of their hands that I changed my mind about the company. Paul is a really upstanding guy that just wants to make good on the commitments that were made to his customers and I really respect that. Plus, he has some REALLY cool projects on the horizon.
It may take a while, but I think we'll win back the people that felt burned by the neglect they experienced in our past. That's a big part of why I am here and why I signed on to work with Paul. I love this industry and the people in it and I know how tough it is to hack it in such a competitive market. One of the things that I'd like to get going are some machine gun and suppressor shoots and maybe even put on some pistol and 3-gun competitions, but that's still a long ways down the road; we have PLENTY to keep us busy in the meantime.
Gentleman, if this has not already been corrected for you, please e-mail me at Sam@shdwops.com and I will get the process started to fix this for you. This was, unfortunately, due to some sabotage efforts by our previous machinist/minority owner when he left. I will fix this or replace it free of charge for you and deliver you a fully functional and properly spec'd lower receiver.
PM sent
We must have been typing at the same time. I copied the PM and sent it as an email.
Thanks.
Got your PM airborneranger, right now, due to my probationary status, it only allows me to send one PM per hour. I will look up your e-mail from the order # you referenced and contact you via e-mail directly. Mods, may I have this restriction lifted so I can respond to users more promptly?
PM's sent out to several members. Please reach out to me if there's anything that I can do to help you out with your order at Shadow Ops.
I have to say that I received more help from Sam today than I have in the previous 12 months. Contact him with your issues.
Gotten a LOT of folks taken care of with getting their back orders out as well as fixing any fit issues, etc. that they've had.
I'm still here and helping folks out if ANYONE else needs to get a hold of me. PM me and I'll be happy to get you squared away :-)
Contacted Sam about my lowers not accepting mags and he got right back to me with all the shipping info to send them back and get them fixed. I sent them back and he had them shipped back to me in less then a week even though it took USPS a week to stop sending them to the wrong post office and get them to me. So I am pretty happy with that transaction and for me puts them a step in the right direction to convince me to spend money there at another time.
Sam was also the first to be able to give me any info on my 308 AR upper he told me 4-5 weeks so let's see if they can meet that. Plus hopefully they will put out some coin deals for those of us with all these coin deals that we have not been able to use for some stuff we can actually get in a timely manner.
Glad to help, my friend. If you have something specific in mind for a deal coin purchase let me know! We're still compiling a full price list for the deal coin discounts but I'm happy to price individual items in the mean time for any and all with deal coins :-)
Just PM me your requests!

Just got back my repaired lowers. They're excellent. Sam doggedly worked to make this customer happy and succeeded.
Yhea, it would have been nice to get the lowers in the promised 2 months instead of 24 and for them not to have had tight mag wells, but that's water under the bridge - it's how they respond now that matters. And respond very well they did.
I'm going to assume that they've learned their lesson and their delivery and quality issues are fixed (I never, ever had any problem with SO when ordering anything in stock). It's obvious that the "new" Shadow Ops is willing to work VERY hard to assure that their customers are happy.
I'll give them another chance when they do a run of their AOW pen gun!
O2
Ps. I should add that they gave me an estimate of late January for return of the repaired and re-anodized lowers. I got them today. That's how to make people happy! :)
I heard all the old employees are still available on the site under different name if anyone misses being fodder in the middle of an attempted take over.
Happy to help O2! Glad I was able to make things right for you :-)
So this saga continues; I received a letter from the BATFE saying that the forms sent in need corrections. So instead of going to pick up my suppressor I'm now trying to contact Shadow Ops to see what needs to be done to correct this.
Don't worry Duke, I'm on top of it. This happens pretty frequently during the final stages of processing applications and does not affect the general timeline for approval. I'll be reaching out to BATFE tomorrow (nobody's answering the phones today, what do they think this is, a national holiday?! lol) to verify the changes they requested. I imagine we'll have an approval for you pretty soon :-)
Gotta give it to Sam, he's on top of things. I'm not a Shadow Ops customer but with the way things have been going...
Sam is to Shadow Ops what Sam Gamshe was to Frodo Baggins.
Haha, thanks guys, I appreciate the warm feedback :-)
If anybody IS looking for any goodies, reach out to me, I'll see what I can discount down for ya ;-)
Sam, has e-mailed me and thinks that it should be a cleared up by tomorrow. Then 30 more days, I'll get my suppressor.
Now that the AR rush is over, and once your customer service dust has settled, get that pen gun back into production so I can buy one!
...and please make the brass tip screw off revealing standard 1/2 x 28 threads with a SilencerCo Sparrow O-ring mating surface!

Been wondering if you guys have any idea what the deal coin discounts will end up being.
I was board today so I read through this thread...... Holly train wreck Batman!!! Hopefully everyone who is owed something has either gotten refunded or product delivered by now.
This is a good example of how an internet based "Part Time" business can implode due to an overwhelming flood of orders which requires a full time business backing the work load.
We have most of our products priced with Deal Coin Discounts, if you have something specific in mind, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to let you know. Each product will have a different discount applicable to it depending on the product, cost of materials and labor, markup, etc., ranging from about $25 to $1500 off the retail price. (The $1500 is for a weapon system that won't be in production for about another year roughly. .50 BMG semi-auto sniper rifle)
There are a LOT of things that went "wrong" that were out of our control, beyond personnel having personal agendas, but yes: just about everybody has gotten their product or a refund (issued over $600k worth of refunds so far actually). The few people that haven't are folks that never submitted their graphics, never sent in an FFL for transfers, etc.
I'll have to pass that idea along :-) Thanks!
Well everybody, I'm really sad to have to say this, but Shadow Ops Weaponry is closed for good. SOW closed its doors indefinitely on Jan 30 after the investment group that owned the managing shares of the company showed up with a police escort about 2:30pm and told everyone to pack up their belongings and GTFO. I'm in the process of looking for another job, and while this isn't my responsibility anymore, I wanted to try and make everyone aware of the situation. I'd be happy to forward along the info for the 2 managing partners if you'd like to give them a call, but honestly I don't think they'll be much help :-/ Feel free to PM me here, I'll keep monitoring this account for the next coupla weeks to see if there's anything I can do for you all.
Mods, please shutoff this account at the end of February :-(
Wow. Sad to hear about that Sam. Hopefully you get something soon!

So if they're holding your can....what's the next call? ATF?
I'm awaiting advice here. All ears.
Wow. I guess I'm lucky since I will be looking for a .30 cal can in the next week or so and I was tempted to order one from SOW to keep it local.
I know for a fact they're in possession of my can. I've seen it, even took pictures of it.
I want t to know where the safe full of cans I saw are now at?
