That guy is a real piece of shit IMHO. I couldn't tell (because that blog was copmpletely saturated with content for myself and those who think like me) but does that guy claim to be conservative?

Huh I read that completely differently except the Neo-con thing. It sounded more like a rant at the futility of confronting overwhelming odds and superior force.

Or, perhaps you do. The article simply calls out the dick-measuring tough guy's position that he's going to fight the armed state's power to confiscate your gun.

The term "neo-con" has nothing to do with the gun owners at all.

Neo-con most accurately refers to former liberals who, when presented with the post 9/11 reality of the world, suddenly went very hawkish in foreign policy.

That's like saying "What are you Cadillac owners going to do when they come to take your guns?"

Neo-con gun owner, paleo-con gun owner, libertarian gun owner, liberal gun owner, a-political gun owner, it doesn't matter. People who own guns belong to all those groups of people and more. So why he specifically points at neo-cons makes no sense unless he's being stupidly provocative against one of the smallest subset of people who, being already shown to be "flexible" in their politics and would probably be the first to hand over their weapons. It's much more likely to be paleo-cons and libertarians to defend themselves.

And my actual response to this no talent ass clown:
Is he so ungodly stupid to think that the rank and file of the military would 1: be legally allowed to perform domestic law enforcement in US territory and 2: actually go along with something so unconstitutional? Because the relatively small amount of police in relation to gun owners in most of the country would quickly be wiped out assuming they had 100% participation also.

I can tell you right now, if I was still in the military and suddenly they said "New orders, we're going to go take guns away from the citizens of this country," I'd tell them to go f*** themselves because that's an unlawful order and it's violating the rights we swore to protect and defend... it wouldn't happen and it would turn very ugly.

I'm with Chad on this one- usually they're just plain old good, but that one he quoted... Damn, way to just come out and put them on their head. Let's look at some numbers:
Roughly 300 million firearms in the hands of roughly 80 million lawful owners.
Out of that 80 million figure half are of the "Cold, dead hands" mentality, so we are now at 40 million.
Out of that 40 million probably at least half would capitulate instantly when confronted by JBT.
That leaves about 15-20 million that are counting on that day when the JBT kicks in the door or are willing to lay it on the line for their country.

Now, let me ask: just who the hell is going to be the JBT? Even if only a tenth (8 million) of firearm owners take a stand that is still larger than any LE or Military force.

They don't have to seize firearms.
They will regulate them out of existence. They will make ammo so expensive and hard to get that there will be no need to seize firearms.
Then we just have cool looking clubs.

Foxtrot is right. The gun community is shrinking. More and more people are raised never handling a real gun. There was a recent thread about trying to teach modern plugged in youngsters to shoot and how boring they found it compared to their shooter games.

The anti's got slapped around and outmaneuvered when they tried for real bans. They can play the long game and win. Ranges shut down. Liability insurance popping up. Regulations/taxes make ammo hard to get & expensive.

Who's going to go out in a blaze of glory when online ammo sales get shut down? A 3 day waiting period? I've been hearing for decades that the 'blue helmets', 'black helicopters', 'Russian troops training in Texas' and every sort of other absolute ban was coming down.

It still could happen if things get bad fast enough but I'm still betting on the long road down.

Make sure you lose a bunch of commie guns. They used corrosive primers for the long shelf life and those spam cans of ammo would be good to lose with the guns.

I left a question out of my post. What's with the neo-cons? Why is he singling them out? Am I missing something? I'm not overly fond of them since they seem to be fond of invading goatf**ker countries. I think this should go down to a lessons learned. If people in a country f**k goats, don't invade/ Maybe build a wall around it but stay out.
