If you, or members in your household are, receiving the following benefits you automatically qualify for the Lifeline program. Those interested in the program must have an income of less than 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. (For example in the 48 Contiguous States and D.C the income level is $22,350 per year for a family of four.)
HOLLA!!!
- Food Stamps or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income – commonly known as SSI

- Temporary Assistance to Needy Families – TANF
This will hurt even more...
AND THESE PEOPLE ARE VOTING!! [Bang]
Stern did that bit in 2008, but it was a lot better with video, and more convincing when the people interviewed could understand English. Regardless, he could probably get these same results from the majority of the crowd at the DNC.
Politics and failed policy do not matter anymore nearly as much as celebrity status. If Michael Jackson's ghost was running with Che Ghevara as his VP, he would win in a landslide. Idiocracy is not so much a comedy about the future as it is a documentary about current events.
I hope Obama supporters are proud. Jesus Christ...these people are so stupid they really pose a threat to our society. Seriously...they're that stupid.
"Lifeline is a government sponsored program, but who is paying for it. Some people claim that the government is using taxpayer’s money to run this program, however, the claim is false. Universal Service Fund (USF) which is administers by Federal Communication Commission along the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC), pays for the Lifeline phone assistance program."
I am sure they pay for it out of there pockets too!
The gov is so freaking huge now that someone will mention yet another new department and say "the money comes from them, not taxpayer dollars". Sooner or later I fear the "gimme free stuff" population will control the balloty box and at that point we are screwed permanently.
Kind of like Dennis Miller was saying last night - the poor schmuck making $45K/year working his butt off would be smart to just quit the job and make $40K/yr off the gov dole.
Singlestack
That lady in Ronin's video was cracking me up! He (In reference to Bin Laden) can be tortured but I don't believe in killing. [ROFL2]
Stupidity knows no party line.
well if you follow some peoples logic here, Romney is going to lose anyway, so why waste my vote on someone that doesn't have a chance...
[Bang]
Great... the mentally unstable helping the financially unstable (entitled).
Not sure if i should laugh...or cry.
Are you going to vote for some rich white man when Prez Obama done gave you a cell phone?
From the link you provided (wrong word usage in red font):
So see, it's not paid for by US taxpayers, it's paid for by US taxpayers who pay for their own phone service and get charged the USF fee. /sarcasmQuote:
Who Pays for the Obama Phone?
in Obama Phone Questions / no comments
Lifeline is a government sponsored program, but who is paying for it. Some people claim that the government is using taxpayer’s money to run this program, however, the claim is false. Universal Service Fund (USF) which is administers by Federal Communication Commission along the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC), pays for the Lifeline phone assistance program.
Apparently, communication isn't really their strong point.Quote:
There are a number of deaths that take place every year do to lack of proper communication, and access to emergency services should be a right for everyone.
This is very true / factual.
Doubt it call your phone, or utility company and listen to their "explanation" of the "fees".
Well sir the monies go to a fund to help those less fortunate so they can afford phone service.
My reply was lady they are homeless, they don't have anyone to call!!
Add the fees up you are being banged. Multiply that by 1 million (approx CO pop) per month. Hickinpooper said there are approx 2-300K "disenfranchised" in CO. Do the math supposedly that totals up to $25-30K per person per month. WHY ARE There still "Disenfranchised" In CO???
The O vote is one for continued support for screwing US The working public in the ass and not gently either.
This country has become a huge toilet that needs flushing, roto-rooting, scrubbing, and disinfecting. And then hit with a big torch to burn off any surviving parasites/bacteria, and do it all over again. Our Founding Fathers would be mortified to see what their country has turned into. Makes me sick.
Even my phone stopped downloading at 2 seconds.!
Thank gawd.
Either way, it doesn't matter. What matters is the perception of the current low-income voting block. These folks are sold on the belief that good old barry gave them their phone qand other bennies. If the danged thing had been handed to them by GW2 himself they'd STILL believe it came from good old Barry. Remember, it's the government (headed by Barry) that is paying for all of their free stuff, not the American taxpayer.
You know after an evenings thought on this, between this and Howard Sterns radio interview of potential voters I cannot think of a more compelling argument for the abolishment of the Electoral College.
I think put em in the ring and have a smack down.
I am thinking along the lines of a minimum of a high school education or a GED equivalent in order to vote.
I would like to go back to landowners being able to vote. It would put the huge city (typically democrat voters) people out of the voting booth.
Anyone on any type of government assistance (other than SS, medicare, VA, or .gov retirement etc.) (I'm talking food stamps, section 8 housing, medicaid, free cell phones etc), is not allowed to vote in any election. It is a conflict of interest.
Just those put in place would turn this country around in a heartbeat.
I like this idea... My old man said something pretty prolific the other day (and it's true)- I'm part of that 47% Romney talked about, because about 35% of my income is from the VA. Now does this mean I think he doesn't care about me? No... Because I'm a veteran and I know for a fact Obama doesn't give a flying leap about me and my brothers and sisters in arms.
